Composition and mandate

The Comité patronal de négociation pour la Commission scolaire Crie / Management Negotiating Committee for the Cree School Board (CPNCSC) is composed of representatives appointed by the Ministre de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport and by the Cree School Board. The president and vice-president of the CPNCSC are designated by the members of both delegations.

The mandate of the CPNCSC is to prepare provincial bargaining proposals and to submit them to the Treasury Board for the purposes of authorizing bargaining mandates concerning the collective agreements of teaching, professional and support staff of Cree School Board.

The CPNCSC mission consists in organizing, coordinating and overseeing the negotiation of the provincial sectorial matters (organization of work, movement of personnel, job security, fringe benefits, etc.). Provincial intersectorial matters (salaries, pension plans, group insurance plans, parental rights, etc.) are discussed and negotiated at the central table under the jurisdiction of the Treasury Board. It is important to note that the decisions of the Management Negotiating Committees are reached by consensus.
